What wrong with my wallpaper?

I recently changed to firefox, but before that when I had internet explorer, the internet would freeze a lot so I turned off the computer from the power source(which Ive done a lot). So when the wall paper screen came up it had a white screen at 1st that said "click here to restore active desktop". When I clicked it said something about, do u want to continue running scripts on this page. After I restarted my computer it was like this. Ive tried reapplying the wallpaper but it doesnt work.

You may have corrupt some files by shutting down using power switch while OS was still running with files in use. Try running system restore from start-all programs-accessories-system tools. You want to choose restore my computer to an earlier time. Select a date in the calendar when the PC was working.
