Does this happen in anyone else's game?

This happens sometimes in my game. And it won't stop until I log out and restart my computer.

I'm a little confused as to what we are looking at....

Bonnylass64 03-21-2009 08:56 PM

Darn it. I am having huge issues trying to take a screen shot in game. That shot is when things are fine. Ignore that one please. F9 isn't working. What happens is everything on the screen gets fuzzy so badly I can't read anything. And only restarting my computer fixes it.

Hmm.. I haven't had that problem. The only graphics problem I have had is a box blinks on the bottom left hand corner of my screen. Have you tried playing with the settings? When you say fuzzy you mean like if you took off your glasses that's what you would see type blurry?

Does that happen only when you've had the game running for a while? Does it happen at all when you've just started the computer and logged into the game?

Lets try this one, this is the picture that is bad

The settings are as they always have been. I have not changed them. It happens anytime. Like today when it happend I had only had the game on for a few minutes.

Zounds! Looks like a hardware problem, probably with the video card. It may be overheating.

So this does not happen to anyone else?

Um no, never ever ever has that happened to me...

akamystic 03-21-2009 09:44 PM

Hmmmm.....Sven could be right. However if a reboot clears it it could also be corrupt video drivers or files within the game itself. A download and install of the latest video drivers is worth a shot. I'd also remove and reinstall POTC.

Ok I will try uninstalling and reinstalling. Thanks guys so much for your replies and helpful advice.

Edit: I tried it and unfortunately it did not work. So, I'm off to buy a new video card.

A couple of the NPC's can do that due to server glitches, It's not a personal computer problem unless most/all of the NPC's are doing that.

Jack

But that second screenshot was of the login screen. I've had a problem with scratched up letters, and, if I am remembering correctly, faces. Everything else though looked good--with F7 the way it is now, I could probably play still if I had the same problem.

Jack Stormshot 04-25-2009 07:45 PM

The second problem, reinstall or update your graphics drivers.
Which Graphics card do you have, NVIDIA?

Talizen 04-25-2009 10:59 PM

Gadzooks!

Definatly, most likely either a hardware problem or a software problem. your monitor or your graphics card may be going wonky.
