I took quick peek at it earlier and it seems huge! It is the most drastic change for a location yet. I am really a little lost in it right now lol. Its good though to freshen and change things for veterans.
I am sure there are more area due to new quests we shall get eventually, hopefully soon.
Overall though I like the changes (ya backwards compass a little weird but they'll fix it)

Sweet new PDF and i kinda like the AFK people dont get any cargo D:

EDIT: After logging on i do have to say that they did a fantastic job again on remaking the island. It is a bit laggy and quite frankly the graphics suck most of the "rock" is flat and beady and the new bridge to get to fort dundee is pure white >_> like always gonna take some getting used to. The new slashes in Noto and weapons are a neat feature nothing major but neat.

These sound like the best ones out of the lot can't wait for them to come onto open.

ADMIN: Pirates Online is Closed for Maintenance.

Yuppers TEST servers are down maybe they will paint the bridge?

The Skirata Clan 03-28-2009 02:15 AM

or... they will bypass all the testing and release it. I really hope they test it before and actually listen to the testers this time around.

You know well that once this comes out, something will be destroyed, along with all of the Founders....

Truly, this Padres ordeal was the last straw, I'm hereby out of this dump....

I kind of like the new Padres. It will take some getting used to but so did Port Royal and, heck, I'm still getting lost on Tortuga. I can't explore as much as I would like to because my level 10 test pirate is a bit of a wimp for Padres.

The bridge to the fort is missing it's texture. I am sure that will be fixed. The back beach is no longer accessible by swimming and it's no longer a beach. More of a small town complete with it's own Gypsy Cart.

But I couldn't find either General Darkheart or The Undead Gypsy boss anywhere. If they are really gone, it sort of renders the back beach completely pointless. Took lots of screen shots and put them on my Guild Blog. PM me if you want a link.

About afk pirates not getting cargo...does this mean both quest items and gold? Also, lets say im not afk, im shooting at a ship but I miss(never hit it) then it sinks cause of the crew killing it...this mean I do not get credit??

Not that I am going to miss, cause I'm a good cannoneer.

Dr. Zeppers 03-28-2009 08:49 PM

Regarding not scoring AFKs.
My pirate would go 'afk' all the time while I was playing because I use the mouse, not the keyboard for 90% of it. I sure hope they fixed their AFK code as well.

Ghostcannon 03-29-2009 12:27 AM

Great news !! wooohooo New PDF... finally they will get rid of some unused houses that are in the second lvl of the town, something that we can access anyway. lol
