Has GOLD become worthless??
 

In Cannons of the Deep, it appears that you can earn unlimited amounts of gold. I have had as much as 125K, and have started using it to repair my ship just to lower the amount.

You can transfer 1K per pirate per day, (And that is, once every 24 hours, not calendar day.) 3 of my 4 pirates are maxed gold anyway, so I can't even transfer it to them.

It is quick and simple to earn gold in COTD, much easier than in the real game. It almost seems to be worthless.

Anyone else feel this way? Or have you come up with something else to do with the gold??

I'm with you on this....I've got over 60k on COTD and most of my Pirates on Open are maxed or close to it. It would be nice if we could transfer to Test characters as well. Hopefully more expensive ships, upgrades or clothing will be coming out soon.

I agree they should higher the limit, maybe like 10000. Oh I meant 10000 limit to transfer in COTD, not the gold money in the game POTCO.

In doing so.....we would need more items to spend it on. Gambling, weapons, supplies, clothing, etc. If they raised it right now.....I have no idea what I'd do with it as I'm typically always maxed at 65,000 as it is.

Opening the inventory so we can hold more clothing, tattoos and other items would be a good start. There's simply nothing left for me to purchase as we speak. Reallocating skills just to blow 10G's a shot is a waste of gold IMO. So we must simply wait until things are added to the game to justify opening the current gold cap.

We could always donate it to pay off debt....Muhahaha

It's worthless. Since you can only transfer 1000 a day it can't begin to help you pay for a war galleon or perhaps whatever new thing pops up some day. It's just another distraction from life you can play instead of talking to your kids or going outside for a walk. Big waste!

I think COTD is more for plundering the treasure set than getting tons of gold.

They probably added that so that once you have all the treasure you can still transfer gold. You must remember that this was intended for phones and no one would play long enough on their phone to earn 100k.

Well the gold from COTD is worthless if you are successful both in the game and on POTCO as well.

As for it also being worthless on POTCO, when your maxed in gold, the gold from both games becomes worthless. But it is quite helpful for your baby pirates...

If you are loaded on gold on COTD the risk of sinking becomes an afterthought. Once you get the hang of it, the game becomes more of a way to pass the time opposed to an actual challenge. You end up with so much gold it starts coming out your ears!!
