Will Beta Testers have to pay for PotCO?
 

Will current beta testers, like myself, have to pay for PotCO when it opens? And will I have to pay by the month, the year, or just pay a one-time fee? I love the game, but if it is too much to play, I won't be able to play it :'(

The game will be free, flash advert based. With Limited access.

Beta Testers will have to re-apply in normal fashion just like everyone else.

If you want full acess and no ads, you will have to pay subscription, the subscription rates will be similiar to Toontown, about $10 a month or less if you bulk buy, 6 monthly or yearly.

At least thats how I see it, from what ive read over last few months.

I'm sure we will have to pay, maybe a little less then everyone else. I was also in the ToonTown beta and when the beta ended they gave all beta testers a reduced rate. I still have that ToonTown account active till this day $5.00 a month.

Okay everyone. If we have to pay 5 bucks a month, please stop reporting bugs! I don't want the game to ever open! If I don't have to pay, keep reporting them bugs! The lag stops soon!

Well if you want to play as is now, but with out the bugs, i.e rising the ranks of cutlass, pistol and sailing, never to get voodoo and beyond, never getting to play on to big boss battles and other mega quests, to bring even more special features, then sure you'll play free. Not to mention once open, theyll probs restrict levels you can get too, to encourage you to subscribe of course.

But when your friends go on about how wicked the boss battle was, and how they got the so and so from it, making them even more powerfull and notorious, don't grumble, you get it free right...who needs to pay subs.

Think about it, $10 or less for bulk buy, for unlimited access.. hmmm, ultimately, which would YOU choose.

Yes most of us will pay for full WORKING, unrestricted access, just like we have for certain other games, the ads will only take up valuable resources in game anyways.

If I only have to pay a one-time fee, sure.

I dont know many MMRPG's that allow you to pay one off fee.

A one off fee many inject fair bit of cash into project at first, but they need to cover running costs of servers, staff and researrch and developement.

Only a subscription will truly cover that.

Nope, we won't have to pay until the game actually is released to the public.

Oh guy. You play a BETA. Dont apply a Betaapllication when you dont report bugs etc. A Beta is that players can report bugs etc. to the MMOpublisher. Toontown have the same bugs in the beta how in pirates -> lags, crashes and so on...
please dont apply to any beta in your live again...

from what i've heard it's going to be about $10 a month for the all-access version of the game but you can play for free if you deal with restrictions on leveling and quests and ads that pop up creating some lag. It would be nice for beta testers to get a discount but most RPG MMO's do not do that but it is disney so who knows? My husband has been in all kinds of RPG MMO's along with testing alot of them and no other company has given discounts on monthly subscriptions but they do label the player as a beta tester and sometimes gives first notice to them on certain things.

A beta tester is someone who goes on the game (if possible) during the beta test hours and reports any bugs. A bad beta tester is one who tells others that they aren't doing a good job reporting. *hint cough hint*
