quest for dagger and doc grog
 

I'm trying to complete the dagger quest and also the one to recruit doc grog to go after the black pearl. I can't get the last item i need from the EITC to turn in the dagger quest and doc grog isn't accepting my items, is anyone else having these problems? I've reported it a few times but I was hoping someone else was to so that it would be fixed on the next patch.

I started a new character and I am doing Doc Grog quest. I am taking only 1 item in my quest list at a time. I log in, he gives me a item to go get (or 10 of the same item), I go get it/them, return to him, I get credit and it clears from my list. I log out completely...logout, quit, quit. I log back in and do the same for the next item on the list.

So far, I have completed 4 items and working on the rest of the list. If I am able to complete Doc Grog quests, I will attempt the other Black Pearl quests the same way.

I've done this quest 3 times with 3 different pirates. The first time I just did it randomly, the 2nd time I gathered all the itms before I presented them to Doc Grog, the 3rd time I turned in each one as I obtained it. Made no difference; I still got all wrapped around the axel at the end and the qust never completed. I'm through trying 'till next update.

Your'e not alone, doc grog bugged at end for me, on second pirate i didnt choose him, but another, but that bugged too, i havent actually managed to complete more then one crew member on pearl quest, and it shows no memebers anyways, even tho i completeted pudgley or pidgely whatever his name is.

As for dagger quest, i never cud find any steel items. from ships, then on second got stuck trying to get tongs too.

I've now given up playing beta, as can't be bothered to just work cutlass and pistol, knowing i probs have to restart an open pirate when its released proper (and would prefer to do so anyways)

I've given up reporting same old bugs over and over again, and still seeing them over and over again whenever i log in. There comes a time when i thin, im wasting my time here, and i've reached it.

there was an earlier thread on this and a couple of other quests - doc grog was one that was suggested not to start because it seems to be bugged - nobody can complete it. I have one of my pirates stuck on it and although I have all the items, he has yet to let me complete it... I find it interesting that NONE of the quests in Chap 3 seems completeable (I know that isn't a real word! - LOL) at this point they seem to concentrating on graphic issues - I am hoping with the next "build" they will have figured out the graphics problem and be able to focus on the quests... at any rate, you are not alone! :pirate.smiley.capta

i finally got all of the items for the dagger quest, i just kept trying around devil's anvil between port royal and tortuga...there seems to be alot of EITC ships around there that are quick kills. I am now trying to get a letter from the govenor for elizibeth by sinking navy ships but it's not doing anything but leveling up my cannon so far...i did get the cool flaming skull ammo though :forum smiley sword:. I have all of my items for Doc Grog and finally droped them after he accepted them and they didn't go away...now it just says to visit him but when i do it says great lets start again but doesn't give me any quests to work on or do over. I don't know. I keep reporting the bugs hoping that with enough emails flooding their boxes they may pay attention to putting it in the next patch.

Well, I got to the last item on Doc Grog. If I tried to get the item and then turn it in, Doc wouldn't accept it. I had to relog and then revisit him...for him to accept each item. The last item, left on the list, that I tried was the Kraken eye. Turned it in, he wanted it dried...did that, turned it in and he wanted it crushed. Had trouble with the Blacksmith...gave him the eye but he couldn't be bribed until I relogged...the "Bribe" button was greyed out. The Kraken eye is now powder but Doc will not take it...keeps repeating to go get a Kraken eye now.

Close but no booty! -(
