for mmorpg's like world of warcraft theres emu servers (player made servers)
that are free and anyone can join. can somone do this for POTCO so we can play while we wait for BETA 2. :pirate41: :jacksparrowvswillzu

why would you want to make your own server? It would'nt be as fun because the whole pirates world is huge.

make my own server cause theres is shutting it down on the 16th

colbella, many people have posted why potco beta phase 1 is coming to an end. Phase 2 will come in September.

As for the servers, I highly doubt you will be able to play POTCO during the time period it is down with your own server. They will probably shut down the entire potco system and make it so only the staff can play.

Well, when Phase 2 comes in September (even though it said Fall so it probably will be November :P) does that mean everyone can play? Or are they just going to get more beta testers to test it for a little longer?

I suspect more Beta testing ahead. They are far from ready to go to a pay-to-play phase with all the bugs.:piratewhip:

I dont think they HAVE to shut down. I just think while all the betas are playing, they work.

They are shutting down the game so they can fix it without being interrupted by beta testers. They can turn off the server so that it is easier to fix things faster as well.

LOL the main reason they are shutting it down is so that they can kill everything we have tested so far and get the rest of the game going.. I mean look things like system commands have not been created yet or the guild system. or personal huts or ships we can decorate.. Phase 2 will be a whole new game to all of us.. and since they said it would be a whole new build you all know that means that they have killed all our accounts.. so at least we get to creat a bunch of new toons to start playing again.. it is kinda boring now At least I have SWG and WOW

But do they have to shut it down JUST to kill all the bugs and lags? I would think you wouldn't even have to log in
