Miss having my 30 days free. Anyone else sad to be back to Basic?
My 30 days of free Unlimited access ended 7/12 and a lot of my achievements were shut down. It was tough to log back in to play on Sunday and not have my upgraded ships, weapons, and clothes. I think they should have added a feature where if you accomplish certain quests your 30 days free is extended (or something like that). Hey I realize it's just $4.95 but I just don't have it. So I am back on the slower Basic Access and hating it.

I am in the same boat right next to you Matey. My free trial ended Sunday.
The thought of having an unmastered pirate made me want to run a skellie through to earn enough gold to pay the membership fee. I took out my trusty coin pouch (aka, ATM card), and swiftly went to upgrade my lowly status. What I found out is that we don't qualify for the $4.95. Because we no longer count as first time members. I think this down right stinks! But then again I did play for a month free, so get over it, right!? What is a pirate addict to do? I quickly punched in my numbers and hit send......Yippee, I'm a member pirate once again. (But only a month at a time. Sheesh, I gotta run through more Skellies!) |

That pirate urge ye still be feelin is what they count on to get ye to subscribe. However, I do believe considering its one of the lesser expensive games to play online, that they offer a pretty fair deal for those playing free/basic. Tis a pirates life for me! |

It was part of a promotional deal with Comcast. They were giving away free one month of unlimited access back in June.

I am putting my second account back to basic. Can't afford two accounts here & Pixie Hollow lol. Do you get to keep your sword (lvl 10) & Tri-barrel pistol & Frigate? It is just the higher lvls they take away correct? Along with any clothes etc. I know. I am leaving my First account unlimited of course :) Maybe when I get my main 4 girls lvled higher I will add my second account back to unlimited also :) Just clearing up any misunderstandings :D

So that's a great point on what you get to keep when you move back to basic. All higher level skills like anything past your first three for each weapon are now locked, and the crazy part is that I went to try to reskill to move my skill points to the 3 types available and now the game only lets you have up to rank 2 on each. So I have all these left over skill points for my weapons after paying to reskill. So, after that I broke down and paid the $10 for one month and reskilled my dude so he will be set up well when the unlimited time runs out. I hope they come up with a reduced price or a way to win unlimited time on the game soon. Oh yeah and like I said before you keep your bombs and daggars, higher level ships, clothes and so forth but all that stuff gets locked so you can't access them. I did find some smaller quests that still work for some notariety, but you don't earn any experience points anymore in basic. So, in the end, my point is to plan appropriately if you are making the switch from unlimited to basic.
I did get to keep my upgraded sword and tri barrel. |
