What do you think of the Pirates that offer to help others, only to turn their back on them during times of trouble? Have you been in a situation like this? Tell us about it!

HAHA! Ummmmm, PIRATES!!??

Jack Sunskull 08-18-2009 07:51 PM

Seriously?

Basil Dreadflint 08-18-2009 07:52 PM

Straight from the website, Jack. Even I couldn't make this one up.

Jack Sunskull 08-18-2009 07:55 PM

I know, I saw that. All that could come out of my mouth was seriously at that moment. That is a waste of cyberspace right there.

....No comment.

Slow NEWS Day...

but couldnt resist posting a reply on the Grog Blog about it...

Really? I was hoping for an UPDATE... No I havent been "betrayed"! It actually makes the game too easy now. If the guy is really helping, you shouldnt have died unless it was an extreme situation. I could care less if he betrayed me. I'm only insulted by words and outright rudeness in POTCO. C'mon Disney, that couldn't have been cheesier!

Chris 08-18-2009 08:37 PM

Wow. Fail. I dont know what else to say.

Captain Del 08-18-2009 08:53 PM

.......Excuse me while I go destroy the rest of my respect for Disney. Up, wait, too late!

bartholomew bladeroberts 08-18-2009 09:13 PM

Tell us about it? Come on. Next step may as well be "report pirates who deny friend/crew/pvp reqs" OK, maybe not that extreme, but really...this is news worthy?

PIRATE!

ukebec 08-18-2009 09:22 PM

:laughks2: Too funny.

Wonder if Disney has considered that their expert POTCO guide doesn't actually tell you HOW to revive a fellow pirate? It definitely says it can be done, but offers no instruction on the exact method of doing so. (Praying? Laying on of hands? Wishful thinking? Clicking your heels together 3 times?)

Nah...that couldn't be it. And of course it couldn't be that there are some malicious people in the game that love creating disruption and chaos for it's own sake.

Wheres the post about all the little pirates now rushing out and disrupting high level pirates fighting high level enemies, and expecting us to keep reviving them, WITHOUT even being on a crew, asking to be on a crew, and not saying a word until they die, etc.

The revive feature has turned the game into more of a nuisance for advanced players because the smaller pirates are even braver than before, and now EXPECT to be revived simply for being near you. They need a new speedchat phrase, which would be my fave.. "Sorry, im out of tonics"

I do usually revive these little pirates once, but if they obviously do not learn from the venture, then im as I said above "out of tonics".

Added: Remember the one of the ole pirate traditions mates... RUNNING! and thats what those lil pirates should do after being struck down once by an enemy to big for them, high level pirate in vacinity or not!

I agree with zeps ,
Let all the low lvl pirates embrace the oldest and noblest of pirate traditions,
Fight to run away. I think that says it all,
besides if a said " Pirate " kills him self in abassa then why should he expect to be revived, just tosteal gold from lower lvl pirates?, seems all a big bunch of pistol smoke.:pirate111za1:
And if your knocked out and get sent to jail , you can just tp back to the crew mate.
