is there a way to multiplayer from your computer with other people that are on xbox?

What do you mean? Do you mean talk to your friends on Xbox 360 while your playing POTCO or play with your friends on Xbox in POTCO?

nothing about potco, as in play call of duty online on my COMPUTER with people that are playing online on xbox

No, in order to play with people on the Xbox, you must own a Xbox as well.

ok next question, i have modern warfare 2 for my computer now. i go into the lobby of an online game (steam) and when i connect it always freezes on the screen saying "synchronizing game settings" then after a few minutes boots me out saying connection time out. please help

Try messing witht the settings. Maybe your computer doesn't have the right settings?

ive messed with everything, i can play spec ops and campaign just fine and i can start a private game and have that going well, just dont have anybody to join the game, every time i try to join a game thats when the problem occurs.

Maybe its with connection issues than?

my connection does stink, but it can run pirates, that should tell you something

Uh bro you can't play xbox live with people on computers or vice versa it just doesn't work; different servers for the different online play services and stuff.
