Beta 3?

Do you think there will be a beta 3 of the game?

It all depends on how quickly they can get the bugs fixed. I read somewhere (not on piratesonline.com) about it opening near december. so if assuming this is true, there will probably not be a beta 3

Had to vote "Yes"... I don't see how they can even offer a beta, when lag won't even let you move in a straight line... I press the arrow ket and nothing happens... then I'll jump 2 or 3 turns.

But you can move around fine in shops, and the jail, so....

Beta might just be to see how fast we progress in the game (even with the controller messed-up). I still can't believe nothing was done about it for beta 2.

Also in the jail, and shops is the only place I get to see every frame of a weapons attack- and not 2 or 3 CLICKS behind (I'm on cable, 2.8 GHz processor, and a G-Force 5500 graphics card).

I would say no ONLY if they can fix the bad lag we get and the frames on certain weapons like the chain shot

I think that B3 will be third build of POTCO but it will be fully playable.

Hmm...I'm gonna have to say there's a huge possibility of a 3rd Beta

Ducky Wucky 10-15-2007 01:32 PM

I sure hope there will be. I loved the 2nd one, they changed so much and it was for the better.

I just don't like having to restart my character.

Agreed

Ar, I be agreein' with the lot of ye. I have only on rare occasion experienced lag, usually at sea, very high pixels. Otherwise they have a decent amount of work to do, somtimes those patches mess up more than they fix. Just like when you repair your ship, it isn't really repaired. I'm drivin' a sloop, that has no sails or masts, but it gets that job done lol. Basically all i can see are the two cannons and the helm hilarious, B3 probable.

I don't know if there is going to be a B3 but I'd love to :)

Now I really doubt that there is a BETA 3 because of the E-mail saying we have to pay and why would they send an e-mail so early if there would be a beta 3??

Owoooo 10-17-2007 07:23 PM

Doubt it. POTCO is very close to being released, so it is more likely to not host a 3rd beta test.

PiratesOnline has to be sure there is no lag for those with super-duper graphics cards and high-speed interent. When I scroll over my little interent connections thing, it says under speed, usually over 50 Mbps. Now that's fast. I also have a great graphics card - ATi Mobility Radeon 9700. Still, the lag is killer (I mean killer - I sometimes get killed by even sergeants because I can't see a thing). If there is lag when the game goes live, after about three months there will be a huge drop out of players. Maybe that's why they gave us a two month break after Beta 1 - to let us calm down and not be screaming at our computers the whole time. (Yes, I scream at my computer when I hear a jail cell door slam and I still see a sergeant with his mouth open like he's waiting for me to feed him his slice of cake.)

Totally agree. I always lag so much even in the most quiet of worlds it gets so annoying. I got killed by a lvl 2 croc cause my screen froze up while I was attacking. I usually lag the most though during sailing though. My internet is at 48 MBPS so it is the game.

OFF TOPIC:
my favorite part in that is the screaming at the computer...I (kinda) do that with ToonTown because when i've been playing it for about 30 minutes it just starts freezing up.

and i see what you mean.
