Ship repair glitch
 

So, you do your good deed of the day...repair some guy's ship while public sailing...

Someone else joins you in repairs. Instead of waiting for them to finish the last game, you press Esc so you can jump on a cannon and sink that warlord before you take more damage...

And the game locks up.

You can't exit the minigame. If the other guy goes slow or doesn't repair, you remain stuck until the captain lands the ship.


WORKAROUND: Don't press Esc to exit minigames. New programmers (from another game?) didn't get training on standard controls in this game, so they don't understand the normal game controls, nor why Esc is used everywhere in the game. (E.g. F5 and F6 still haven't been corrected.) So use your mouse, select a different weapon so that the exit button is no longer covered, and CLICK exit game (minigame.) Force yourself to un-learn using the Esc key, somehow.

Note: Usually you can't switch weapons, so make sure you don't have your 2nd or 3rd weapon selected (ever?)

Note: "Potion mixing" still doesn't allow exiting using standard Esc key either. Maybe that's a good thing, since they might have broken it just like ship repairs. :-(

P.S. Thanks to Meghan Mcfury in Reign O' Darkness, for identifying the work-around.

I have found a similar glitch that when I hit Esc, the minigame screen stays but I can move around and take a cannon, however the minigame screen still obscures my vision. I found the fix to this is to go back to the repair spot, hit Shift again, then Esc again. It seems to clear it out, almost like the game gets mixed up for a few minutes. But I've never had the game fully lock up for me, how odd. =/ Yet another thing to add to the list of things that need fixin'. LOL.

Yeah I had this happen to me twice today. VERY ANNOYING!!!
Please fix!

I've noticed players doing the mini game will have the mini game stuck on there screen if the captian lets go of the wheel or grabs the wheel while people are playing the mini game.
