Who Exactly Are Founders?
 

I've heard lots of different answeres to this question, and I still don't quite understand it, so I thought I'd bring my question here! So, who exactly are "Founders"?

Founders are the people who started playing with Unlimited access before the end of December of the year this game came out.

They are regular peeps - just like you and me - but they were here FIRST and will always have this distinction. There will be no more.

Several were/are from the Beta test program too. But as it says above, just regular folk who may have been playing for year before the game went public, no special treat for them either :(

Pay to play just like everyone else, not even a free Lost Sword ;)

Well theres 2 technically since you asked it in the game forum I'm assuming you mean in the game:
In the game founders are people who paid for the game by December 2nd, 2007. There is no way to become one and besides a gold name and gold coin next to our name we get nothing else.

On the forums (if you are just curious) a founder is one of the first 5000 members to the site we get free Signature for life, the founder usergroup tag and an option at a gold name.

They are people who played the beta, i am kinda a founder, i was 2 days late from the dead line but i remember the beta, in my opinion it was awesome, launching your ship on the dock, diffirent tutorial, no revieve sytem, diffirent caves back then, the Jolly Roger curse event, good times.

Aw, i'm sorry, it was just a question that's been poking at me for awhile.

Ah yes, Goldskull and the Cuban Gang ;) The Beta crew helped make the game a safer and far more playable environment for the younger members as well as knicking many many bugs out of the game...

But just to be clear, not ALL founders are ex-beta player, just some of us :)
