More damage out of Thrust and Blade Storm
 

Okay, I learned this fighting some Piratas and stuff in the Lava Gorge.

This is a way to get 100-500 more damage on your cutlass attacks.
Let's use my pirate as an example. Jibby, a LVL 28 with a LVL 26 cutlass. I have fully upgraded Thrust and Blade Storm. Basically, five points in each.
Now, you have to understand this:
The maximum damage you can deal with Blade Storm is 960.
The maximum damage you can deal with Thrust is 528.

Let's say I head to tormenta and find a LVL 30 dregs, and attack him for some rep.
When I hit him with thrust, I may get 742 damage instead of the limit, 528. Or I could use Blade Storm and get 1253 damage.

I don't know what causes this, and why it doesn't always happen, or how to activate it. All I know is you can get more damage, and I haven't researched flourish, cleave, sweep, etc.

The biggest amount of damage I've given to an enemy using this is:
1387 using Blade Storm.
938 using Thrust.

That means I got 427 more damage with Blade Storm than the cap.
That also means I got 410 more damage than usual with Thrust.
Pretty cool, no?

Wait what? I'm confused...

i've done 2000 something with thrust (critical strike) and 3000 something with a critical bladestorm.

Wait are we saying with bladestorm like 1000 hit EACH? Or all the hits added together... because Ive gotten 1800 hit each on bladestorm and like 1200 thrust..

no, total blade storm.

Just did a 937 bladestorm for each hit.

Oh my. I must get critical strike, that sounds amazing.

EDIT: Just tried this out, works with Poke, Swarm, Scorch, Cut, Swipe, Asp, Gouge, etc. All the combat attacks besides things like Throw sand that only do 1 damage.
