Release Notes - August 20, 2010

* Updates:
o Players who are fishing when a fishing boat docks no longer crash.
o The shoreline at Padres Del Fuego has been lowered to no interfere with Fishing.
o Delaying loot shown when catching fish by 2 seconds.
o Players on Welcome Worlds can no longer launch Fishing boats.
o Players who try to use disables ship skills on Fishing boats now get a warning message.
o Players can now switch between Windowed and Webpage mode while Fishing without problems.
o Players who are fishing or on Flagships play the correct animation.
o Fixed text in the Red Dragon Legendary Fish story.
o Player lures update properly in the Lure panel.
o fixed various Fishing crashes.
o Fixed various texture line and pixelation issues.

I thought Fishing was working pretty good except for the PDF ground thing.

What is "Welcome Worlds"?

The server you are on once you exit the tutorial, after making a pirate. I could be wrong though.

Yes, when you first make your pirate and enter the tutorial, you enter Welcome World7 or Welcome World2 or any welcome world.

Seriously, fishing has been on test for 2 weeks, more than anything else ive ever seen in the game... more than even the inventory expantion... HOW MANY BUGS CAN SOME FISH AND A FEW KNIVES HAVE?!

Ok now im hoping for them to come out next week....

If we get lucky, fishing will be released by tonight, but that seems very unlikely for tonight. Odds are, it will be released next week; ironically when most people should be getting back to school.

Fishing is a pretty big update, to me. It was in Toontown, and remains one of the most time consuming things to do in toontown. It's not as time consuming as in pirates, but it's still big.

And this is irrelevant, but with the way things seem to be going, the new shrouded island and a quest with it doesn't seem like it's coming as soon as most would like it to. We might not see it on open until October 31, the 3rd year of POTCO.

I'm starting to get irratated with this... You can always fix minor bugs later D, just hurry up and release it!

No, they need to be fixed BEFORE they go Live. There are people that play the game just to find exploits in bugs and take advantage of them. All of these need to be fixed on Test.

Looking good so far, most everything has been fixed, I'm not noticing any problems anymore. Very rarely is Live updated on the weekends but you never know...

I still think they will update it next week after the strongest guild competition is over

I bet you it will not come out tonight you never know when its released could be next week could be tomorrow or right now ;) .

I don't remember a time when POTCO ever had an update on Saturday or Sunday, so unfortunately we probably won't see the update until Monday or Tuesday.
