GM Events Friend Invites

Now, I know you all saw a player asking a Gm, " Can you be my friend?" or, " Can I join your guild?"
Why do people keep asking this when on the site it tells you that the guild is only for POTCO Staff?
As for the friend part, the GM always replies, " ( enter name here) I'm friends with everyone!"

I can understand why the GM's can't friend invite. If one person does it, everyone will want to do the same thing. Plus, there will always be bragging.

Actually I have been at a GM event where they did take a friend request from someone, but I will decline to say which GM accepted it.

How? Whenever you clicked on a GM, their info card shows everything darken. You can't friend, crew, player friendship, guild invite or anything. Unless the GM sent out the friend request, this sounds like a rumor to me. Usually the GMs ignore all of the "Can you be my friend requests" by going on with the story.

You used to be able to click those buttons. Don't remember the exact date, but I don't think they changed that until recently.

True but, in Gm Events, and other things, it's important to look at the site to get all the info you need. ( Which is also why they made a web browser version of the game) I'm Sure that some of you, ( In a GM Event, waiting for a GM to come ) you always have that one person asking: " Why is everyone here?"

Even though they might not look at the site, they have the game news to the side before you log on.

Well I can see why they don't add as friends. It would cause people to be jealous.

Not only that, it's a sign of favoritism, which is what they are not supposed to do to other players (although they do occasionally.)
