The Return of C++!

My C++ crashed today. Again. This time I was doing the treasure fleet with PnC (We got an amazing haul from the HMS Newcastle. 1 whole crate. -throws confetti-) It isn't as infuriating as the crash I had while into the 30s in CD, but I'm still mad. There is nothing wrong with my C++, so it must just be POTCO. They really need to fix this. I've dropped POTCO like it's hot for today. I might be back tomorrow. In case PnC or someone wants to know where I went, now you know. :P

Hopefully everything will end up working out. Especially for the Sorcerors meeting tomorrow.

Wait, do you mean a CRASH, or just disconnected?

Captain Sharktooth 01-08-2011 11:34 PM

I have been crashing like crazy the last few days. (ask the Pixies) I don't really know why.... Hopefully, the crashing will end soon for you Dan.

Thought I was the only person this happened to. Yes, its very annoying.

CarribeanThunder 01-09-2011 12:24 AM

I've only had this happen to me during Fleets on very rare occasions.

"Your Microsoft C++ Runtime Libraries have crashed. Please contact the developer of this program... yadda yadda."
That's a paraphrase of what it says. So, crashed. I never DC, my connection is very good.

Nate Raidhawk 01-12-2011 04:56 PM

Mine says - "Runtime error! The application requested to terminate itself in an unusual way."

Then it's not a C++ problem.

Disney needs to update it's C++ libraries to be more stable. It's not that hard, Disney.

Well my problemo isn't with a PC, or C++. It's actually just th fact that when I log in, the server breaks. I mean I'm hooked up to Ethernet, I have amazing connection. I just dc when I log in the first time, I try it again and I'm good UNTIL I tp tp to someone. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone else on a Mac?

WitchdoctorDan 01-13-2011 03:50 AM

I don't think Macs use C++, as that's a MS development. But I'm a MS guy, not Mac, so I wouldn't know. I have heard that Macs have some connection problems to the server.
