How do I delete my account here?

I do not want to be associated with this forum.

I don't know how to delete an account. Just PM a mod if you want it deleted. But, believe me, if you choose to stay on POF we'll do everything we can to meet your needs - unless you need a new car ;)

The easiest way to have your PiratesOnlineForums.com account deleted is to not use it. We periodically clean our user database, removing ones inactive longer than a set period.

We generally don't honor removal requests as ensuring the requestor is the person who owns the account can be problematic.

This is good to know.. you won't take requests from users to remove their account, but you will randomly remove accounts, without warning, after an undisclosed period of time. Also, the reason you don't remove accounts on request is because you cannot guarantee security on this site, and someone else may have access to my account and details... great...

Nothing random about it. The only accounts that are removed are those that are clearly abandoned and well past the point that removing them will make any difference to the owner.

The issue isn't with the site. We have no control over how users maintain the security of the computers they use to access our site.

All the best!
