Ok, I actually suck.
 

The doll. I'm level a level 13 nearly 14 Pirate and STILL don't get how to use the doll.

Any advice?

* First, "attune" your doll to the enemy that you wish to defeat. To do this, just run up VERY close to the enemy, point yourself so that he's directly in front of you, then click on the enemy. (Actually, just click anywhere on the screen that ISN'T a button of some sort). If you've done this correctly, you'll see the enemy's name show up in a button on the right-center side of the screen. Now your enemy is attuned. Attuning doesn't cause any damage itself, it just prepares your doll for battle, so to speak.

* Once the enemy is attuned, start damaging him by clicking on one of your voodoo weapon buttons -- Poke, Swarm, etc. This part is no different than battling using pistol or something. The only difference is that you DON'T have to be in front of your enemy to damage him. As long as your doll is attuned, you can be running away from him and still damage him. But the doll becomes unattuned if you get too far away from him. So lots of players just run in a large circle near the enemy -- you can keep damaging him, but he can't damage you very easily.
