Well anyway, hi. I'm Kat Golden. I joined Pirates Online yesterday and played all day to get to level 8. You might know me from Toontown Central as Midnight Charm.

Welcome aboard Kat! Glad to see some new members joining POTCO and POF! Before all the other crazies get here, I'll let you in on some tips so that you stay mostly unharmed here on these waters...

1) Don't steal rum. People don't like it when you steal their rum. Most of the time people you steal rum from will have pistols. And don't steal rum from me. Mine is toxic.

2) Don't listen to anyone who tries to tell you what to do. Most of the time it will involve pistols. Pirates like pistols. And pointing them at people.

3) Don't touch the green meat. You really would rather not know why.

Mmm... that's about it for POF tips. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to PM me or any of these other fine, or not so fine, pirates. Most of us are pretty accurate, but for questions related to the forum you may want to go to the mods.

I also played Toontown for years ( Queen Clover ) but when I ventured out in December '08 into the pirate world, I never looked back!

Let us know if ye be looking for a home guild .. plenty o' good guilds here on POF .. a good guild makes the game more fun and creates a strong bond with the other players here.

Hiya! Welcome to POF! I too played Toontown and am still somewhat active on the forums. Nice to see another person coming over.

Ahoy there Miss Golden! Welcome to the forums, and to Pirates Online!

Being a new player to the game, you're obviously going to feel very overwhelmed when it comes to starting out. If you haven't already, I suggest looking around these here forums for options of crewing up with some mates to help you out, as well as looking for a guild that you think will suit you best (remember, do not limit yourself to just the subforums!)

And of course, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the moderators or administrators, myself, or one of the many fine pirates that cruise and plunder these waters.
