Let's talk poker.

Ahhh... taken money off of scrubs.. a fool and his money are soon parted.

What's bothering me about these.. games. These "kids games" as far as I see them. Where's the real action at? Higher stakes, no limit! Playing for small change gets old, and boring.

Does any spot offer more at stake then a couple of coin per bet?

When will those incharge realize, we ain't a bunch of kids.. tat we can take the fate of the cards dealt to us, and thus.. make our own choice as to what we bet.. and how much.

No limit lads... no limit.

Silver Beard 01-24-2008 01:39 AM

Um...excuse me? There are a bunch of kids playing this game...that is kind of what it was made for...:bookishfj7:...no offence.

Magilicotti 01-24-2008 01:54 AM

Oh aye aye.. ofcourse kids play the game, as kids play any game, but so do us grown-ups. But the fact one is with facial hair or the inability to grow it, doesn't change the nature of my words.

What.. kids can play poker, but can't do it playin' no limit? Now.. answer my questions. :mybadki6:

yes they can ok O_o

Oooookay, let's break down my kids comments. They obviously have been taken alittle to heart.

This here I meant I see these poker games are abit "childish" in their playablity. Small bets, small raises, set limit each time. Anyone who plays poker on a regular basis will tell you, no limit betting is where the real action is. So you see?

Meaning is simple and stright foward. "We" as in all of us, the players as a whole. We are all not children, like myself, and I doubt I am the only one above the age of 21. Also not to imply in the sentence, that only kids should play limit hold 'em.. just wanted to get my point across.

This question a the time of me writing this, has yet to be answered. So let's stay on topic here mates. Tortuga, Port Royal.. only places I've been to play a and or two along my journey. Each place offers only one bet and/or raise... 2 gold I belive.. two, whole gold. Basically, I am wondering if any other location offers higher stakes while playing Hold 'em.

The tavern on Padres Del Fuego allows you to bet more per hand.

Explain "hard-core". Ye sayin' something is hard-core, may be easy doin'. :piratetongueor4:

like the game could last for a while less players will fold and more will bluff the stakes are higher the "blinds" are 10 and 20 instead of 1 and 2 and the betting starts higher not at 2

Vandelay 01-24-2008 02:58 AM

If I remember correctly, the pot is 30 after the blinds are paid, and typical raises between 20 and 40 each, so pots frequently get up to at least a few hundred gold.

Aye thank ya mates, that sounds like a grand place to be sure, and the stakes be decent.

It's not No Limit Hold 'em .. but it'll do. Thanks again.
