Not All Islands Loading Properly
Hi~
Wondering if anyone has had the issue of islands being angular and primary colors (like maybe other graphic layers aren't loading). I have a mac and one night my game tried to update it self and crashed. When I went back online this was happening. Any suggestions? Should I uninstall the game and reinstall it? Would that ruin any of my game so far? Thanks in advance! :bookishfj7: |
I have a mac also and am having the same problem.
Do the islands look like this? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y17...iespaw/po1.png |
Yeah Coollittlej had the same problem on his mac book. Check out his thread:

Wow, what island is that, Tortuga?
I've never had that problem. ~Cpt.Sea |
I have had that problem and not being able to see anything on my map, very aggrivating.
But I figured out that I needed a graphics card, turned out that it burned out...literally :vshocked: |
Update!
Yes, that is exactly what happened.
I went to live chat and they tried to tell me it was a graphic card issue but my computer is basically new and the best mac that we could buy. So I fixed it the old fashioned way - uninstalled then reinstalled the program. It works now! Woot woot! |
I'm having the same issue! sometimes it looks normal color wise but ill have random walls in my way to where i cant see whats in front of my. it has even happened when me and my friend boarded a flag ship. i was having a hard time seeing those navy swine. :( But it started acting up for me when i ran a graphics update that apple sent out a couple days ago. so has anyone else have any problems after the graphics update from apple?

It's a graphics issue. (not like anyone needed me to point out the obvious)
The only time I've ever had this happen, was years ago when I was beta testing Everquest. It was because we had a lame 4MB S3 Virge video card that couldn't handle the graphics load. How did I fix it? Put a 16MB Riva TNT in the machine. No more issues with graphics. The point of the stroll down my memory lane being that it's a video card issue. You might have a faulty card, or you may just need a driver update (or however the Mac folk do it). In the meantime, try lowering the graphics details in the game. See if it clears up the snow. Good luck! -Eloricth |
