What Hull Upgrade Are You Getting?
Streamlined (Faster Ship)
Cargo (More cargo and a little more armor)
Reinforced (More Armor)

I'm planning to get streamlined for my war sloop
For my brig, either cargo or reinforced

basics cannot upgrade, so none xD

I think I'll have to try all of the types offered amongst my Pirates. Although this will take time getting all the materials and gold. The upgrades are costly.

It would depend on the ship.

I plan on upgrading my ships in Cargo... BUT, for my War Sloops, I think I may go with Reinforced. ( Will be looking at Color and Stats, for both the ship and my sailing stats. )

--- I'll have to wait and see on the rank 4 upgrades... ( I'm liking Skull & Bones and Fortune Hunter though. )

My plans are: Skull & Bones for my war brig, Firestorm for my war sloop and Fortune Hunter for my war frigate.

My current plan: S&C for me War Frigate (Bounty-hunter Hunting), Fortune Hunter for me War Brig (everything) and Firestorm for me War Sloop Or War Brig (depending on which does better in SVS). All of them will have the Take Cover rigging upgrade.

I agree with Aka. I will upgrade my ships depending on the persona that I have assigned to my pirates.

I'm planning on giving the Reinforced Upgrades to my War Sloop and War Brig, and a cargo to my War Frigate... while the hull styles for the S&C, Fortune Hunter, and Firestorm seem nice, I don't see the 15%-20% chance of a special broadside being fired as being worth more than the previous upgrades, since they don't stack (as far as I know). I'll need to see how everything works in greater detail before I actually make my decision... but if the Rank IV upgrades don't stack, then I don't really see it as worth it for me.

For me, I'm going to streamline my War Sloop (since I'll only use it for traveling), give the cargo boost for my War Brig, and the hull upgrade for me War Frigate.

Unless they add lootable hull upgrades, which, in that case, you will make it a famed upgrade. :laughks2:

You need to add 'Copperhead' to the list. Just added to test!

They need to add a fourth ship space.

I voted for Cargo because I always max out my cargo slots, but keep sailing on.

Let me make this simple, I agree.


Copperhead comes after you have either Reinforced III, Streamlined III, or Cargo III.

Well, with the new Copperhead upgrade, I may go with it over Skull & Bones or Fortune Hunter, again depending on look and stats.

This part can be moved/removed, but figure I'll post it here...
