Release Notes - February 7 2008

• Avatar Customization
  • There are now jewelers, barbers, tailors, and tattoo parlors in Port Royal, Tortuga and Del Fuego
  • Added the ability to zoom in on your avatar with the middle mouse wheel if you are not moving or in combat.
  • Added random drops of rare clothing when defeating an enemy. The chance of getting clothes is rare, but the colors are unique and you can't find them in stores anywhere.
• Emotes
  • Added emotes! You can access them via the speed chat menu or by typing / at the chat prompt. Here is the list of emotes you can use with the / command: crazy, glare, help, thirsty, tired, dance, sigh, scared, 9000, sweep, bounce, blink, sleep, wave, laugh, ready, curious, bark, fear, chuckle, frown, shrug, jig, growl, sad, congrats, angry, roar, lol, kidding, arrr, hiss, no, smile, sorry, bored, clap, kneel, happy, flex, rofl, cackle, congratulate, nod, hello, drink, grats, confused, wait, wink, moo, hail, jk, yes, gasp, coin, flee, eat, celebrate, salute, vittles, giggle, search, bye, yawn, meow, cower, cry, hungry, greet, bow, impatient, tap, cheer, primp, goodbye, sry, grin, agree, amazed
• Guild invite token system update
  • Added two additional types of Guild tokens: Limited Multi-use Codes (i.e. a token that can be redeemed 10 times) and Unlimited Codes (a token that can be used forever, until you invalidate it)
• Added a button on the Crew panel that lets you put a "Looking for Crew" message above your head. Click on the "Crew Options" button in your Crew panel to activate this feature.
• Added in-game pop-ups to notify players when Blackjack Friday has begun (Blackjack Fridays are every Friday from 3-9 PM Pacific Time)
• Moved the Game Options button to the main screen, next to your sea chest - it is now available in both Make-A-Pirate and the tutorial
• Fixed bug that was not allowing players to teleport or chat to guild/crew members who they couldn't see
• Fixed bug allowing players to teleport to servers that are full from the Pick-a-Pirate screen
• Added clearer messaging to explain why a teleport may have failed (i.e. other player's ship sunk, etc.)
• Added a check to see if your CPU is running at max frequency. If not, you will get a pop-up after the client has been running for 2 minutes.
• Doubled the chances of getting a cheat card dropped when defeating NPCs

Known Issues - February 7 2008

• All shops currently have all possible clothing items (100's of pages) - we will be narrowing this down
• Jewelry does not appear on other Pirates if you are on low graphic settings
• Jeweler in Padres Del Fuego is in a t-pose
• There is a gap in the left knee-high boot for females (when viewing them on another Pirate)
• All items have generic names in your "shopping cart" when buying or selling them
• New shops do not have names yet

Some nice updates :)

I havent got to lvl 40 yet so for me these are great updates especially being able to finally tp to guild members, I csan understand people complaining but hey slow down a bit and enjoy the view !

Same here! I want to go crazy while on my ship when I win a battle. My cousin doesn't know how at all to do these,(he has no test account) so i'll scare him too!

They go on forever, and the dance emot is just plain down weird.

To me he looks like Woody from Toy Story on my pirate when he does dance!

EDIT:Ah, 1st bug!

Jump, do an emot! Then youe pirate is stuck in that motion!

EDIT2: went to buy jewelry, it's fixed. Im doing dance emot now!

Cannot talk to guild members anymore, also show guild members doesn't work now.

Ah, the beauty of being a beta tester! :)

Great updates. They will be on live tomorrow or tonight most likely.

And by the way, you're no longer Beta testing Xiaolin.. just playing the Test Server. Not Beta, for Beta means before the game is released officially.

Beta testers are the only people allowed to roam the test server.. ;) So technically, that means if I can access it, I am a beta tester.

Gramatically it is really to be said "I was a beta tester, thus now I can access the test server". But I dont feel like arguing the point, it gets nowhere.
BUT I CANT WAIT FOR THE UPDATES ON OPEN!!!! Except for the Low Graphics seeing Jewelry bug:((( I have to run on Low Graphics because of the Vista Crash Bug.

Wow, can't wait for this to come out on open!

Notice how they don't even mention the boss battle? ;)

Why is everyone always asking about the Boss Battle? They said it would be out in March and the second half of the gamae in Summer. It was something they said on a TV Ad.. unless it was on their site. Maybe both, I can't remember.

Where are the shops located?
