No Cleave?
 

What happens if I choose not to learn Cleave and only learn Flourish? Will it go straight from Slash to Flourish or not do anything? I am making a new pirate and might test this out.

It acts like cleave doesn't exist and goes straight to flourish.

I suggest getting cleave anyways, because it makes a lead-up to Flourish. It's a perfect combo!

Hack:/, Slash:_, Cleave:l, Flourish:z, Thrust.

Perfect on a high leveled enemy.

And it looks pretty darn fancy, too :laughks2:

Perfect in what way?
...isn't Slash a "lead-up" to Flourish as well?
...everything before Flourish would be a "lead-up" to it right?

Thats the choice you've got to make.

If you get Cleave, you weaken the weapon... plain as that.
But it DOES look cool!

How do you weaken the weapon? You get more skill points bc. of add to combo and more damage.

If you can't kick butt while looking cool, what's the point!

Style > Substance :D
