WORST timing for a game crash

I was just on a ship with a bunch of people. We were racking up TONS of ship materials and what happens? The ships freeze and the game disconnected D:
This seems to happen a lot. Whenever I'm on a ship making a huge amount of plunder, SOMETHING always happens to cause the game to crash. ><

Welcome to the Caribbean mate, it's crash time.......

Seems to be the norm.

Been there......Mia, you were there too....lol

Or you swing back from a boarding expedition and land in the ocean.

Or you're on a cannon and it swings freely back and forth, there are no ships and no islands to be seen, and you can't get off the cannon.

Or you arrive back from sailing and the transfer screen is black or freezes at 90%.

Yes, it's painful to spend up to an hour and a half as crew on a big ship and have it all be wasted. I was sailing for ship materials for several hours one day and either something happened, or the ship commander thought it was fun to see his own (or maybe someone else's) ship sink. Either that or he/she just couldn't judge the moment.

At least I got the XP on cannon.

The seas looked fairly choppy over the weekend... on Quiet servers! lol

I had the crazy cannon bug happened to me for the first time. It happened on the very day I upgraded my war sloop with Firestorm. My friend took the helm as requested by me while I took to the cannon. Just the two of us only btw. And then boom! I was on a different plain. My friend still saw my pirate at the cannon even though I was in a different plain. Easy fix, just TP'd to my friend. Everything ran normal after that.

As for losing all that plunder due to an inexplicable game crash, none. They're lost for normal reasons: captain just doesn't know how to sail with his war class. lol

That happened to me, and I was so mad. We had full materials and I had been on for about an hour and then: :degen:

At some point every pirate will lose out what they had worked fought for due to some technical failure. I nearly lost one Famed treasure I plundered at sea as soon as we docked at Tortuga. Never experienced this kind of bug where the audio started to stutter. I didn't even know there was a problem until after I selected a Rare to place in my Inventory. As I kept clicking what I saw was worth taking, lo and behold, that Famed treasure popped up!

I had no Inventory space left and so I decided to trash the Rare and replace it with that Fame. That is when my troubles began. I usually can find a workaround to correct the technicality but it sure looked like I was about to be disconnected. Sure I had everything else but I wanted that Fame and I waited patiently for it to settle down. Long story short, clicking the Window key stopped the loop and briefly corrected the problem. I say briefly because it acted up again and I had to repeat this action to keep myself from disconnecting.

It was a battle to stay on long enough so I can get that Fame and that I did. No matter what I did in-game that night, this bug would happen. Once I got the Fame, notified my friends I needed to log out momentarily, I logged out and boy did it take a while, lol, but I prevailed! You bet I will keep it as a momento.

In your particular case, Mark, not sure if you're sailing in a Full or an Ideal server, or even if you normally experience problems while plundering, the best crew to sail with are with friends/ guildmates in a Quiet Ocean. You'll also need a Captain who is patient with and discerning to understand why some pirates are slow to respond while plundering. If you're Unlimited, then you earned reps on that voyage. Still stinks when ya lose the loot, but the reps and the score for sinking them do remain.

This happens to me, but ONLY when I'm steering and half my ship is filled with noobs and will take my War Brig at any chance they get, and sink it.:sadmh9:
