Kind of a small thing, but it's something I noticed a month or so ago and don't think too many people know about. The distance between you and the enemy ship you are attacking effects the damage you do per shot. If you're closer to an enemy, you'll do more damage, and in retrospect, if you're farther, you'll do less. The difference is slight, though, and really doesn't matter, but I figured it would be a neat little thing for you guys to know! :D

Is that how I one shot broadside those top level ships with my war galleon/frigate?

(Sorry for my poor typing, Im not in a situation to clean my hands ATM.
