Should PotCO give inter-player trading?
One thing I've noticed that I'm not really fond of about potco is that you can't trade between players. If I'm in a guild (And I am) and one of my guildmates needs a bit of cash or something, I should be able to slip them some. Do you think potco should allow trading between players or guild members?

yes , i do
|
even if its not items, we should be able to trade gold at least
|
Yeah, It would be awesome if you could like, give ammo to friends while plundering lol. oooOOOO tonic trading would be "lyk so ttly prfct" I hope they incorporate it in the game soon :D

A definite yes IF the trading system is better than VMK's. I left VMK partly because I got bored, but mainly because of the trading and stealing system.
If the trading system is the same or similar to VMK's, it's a DEFINITE no. |

actual? No! I do not want to see this happen in PotCO. This one of the few online games that is actualy fun to play and is not over ran with the plat/gold farmers/seller!
Reason they are not here is because you can't trade. The only thing they could do is power level up pirates to sell, but I am hoping because this is a no trading game, they have not found it cost effective. The issue with gold sellers is huge! From them taking your credit card info and using it to create other accounts at other games to using the info on that avatar they just sold you to strip it bare, your guild bank bare and sell it off for coin then offer that to someone else looking to buy game coin. If they change the game to allow players to trade coin, it will change the whole feel of the game, because the gold farmers will be here in force. The best thing to do if you want to give your guild mate some coin, is to take him or her out on your boat or go run the cannon for them. Two people can make more gold working together than one. |
Nah, I think you should work for your gold..its really not that hard to get, plunder a bunch of ships you can easily get 1,000 in no time.
|
I think it should be allowed between guildmates and friends. Just to add that.:36:

1k - 20 minutes. For every hour you spend sailing, you should gain 2.5k - 3.5k pure gold. |
IF you're able to nail those kinds of numbers. There are a lot of times when we go out and, while we;re nailing phantoms, revs, monarchs and such we're still only getting around 100 gold on a run.
If one of your guildmates is just a few thousand short of a war galleon or war something, you should be able to give them the cash for it. I think trading between guildies only is a good idea. |
If you really want to give ur friend or mate some gold, then lose it to them in poker.

Grrr.. What does a pirate have to do to get some meat to trade or eat here..
|
No, no, a thousand times NO! I see a tremendous downside to trading, with very little to recommend it.
As mentioned above, trading is one of the absolute worst things about VMK. It has fostered a ridiculous "Have or Have Not" mentality, with some players scamming others, etc. Also, until they recently introduced the ability to turn off trade requests, you would be constantly bombarded with pop-ups asking you to trade with So-and-So. I'd love nothing more than to be in the midst of some battle on PotCO and have a trade request pop up on my screen. If you need gold, just go and plunder it like a good pirate should. Or win it at the card table. And there are NPC's that will give you coin for completing their quests, too. (I never go for a sail without first visiting Bartholomew Watkins in PR.) If it takes an extra few days to buy that War Ship or Fancy Coat, so what? It's not like they're rapidly adding new content to the game. |
