problems with key quest
 

I've been working on collecting the eight keys for Giladoga...
Needless to say I'm stuck on the 7th key where I need to collect Collier from a Navy Galleon or Frigate.
I've been sinking everything from Lights through War; Flags included for the last three days. It doesn't even register it as looking for him when the ships go down. I've tried logging out and switching severs as well as tried different ships.
I've come across two other people that had this issue but they were able to switch severs and it fixed for them.
Also when I go to my map the star that shows you quest areas has been jumping back and forth from Tortugato Isle Perdida.
Is anyone else having this issue or am I just missing something? I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. Thanks in advance.

The "Tracking Star" on the map has jumped between quests on me, but not to a place where I didn't have to go for at least one of the quests I am working on.

As for the issue of sinking other ships, I found that when I helped sink a ship with another ship (me on my Frigate, someone else on their ship working together), that I got the drop for the quest. Have you tried getting one of your guildmates to set sail at the same time as you and then both of you take out the ships together?

the star jumping just semed odd to me as the only quest I had in my que was for the seventh key.

I hadn't tried that yet. Thanks I'll see if I can get any of my guild mates to let me tag along on the next run.

It took several runs but i finally got it using by gunning for someone. Thanks Racket. I was completely stuck on what to do.
