leveling weapons vs questing dilemma
 

I've been mostly focusing on my weapons and I havn't done many quests yet.

I'm level 23 now and most my weapon skills are at 14, with grenades at 16. Except pistol is low at 10.

I am getting a bit worried that if I keep up with my weapons training then I will hit 30 and start needing to train staff, then by the time I train staff I will have little time left to do the quests for Rep. Is there any schedual I should be following or a point to which Ishould start doing the quests? Or does leveling get so slow in the 30s I shouldn't worry about being able to fit both in?

I'm doing the same thing on my second pirate. I'm going to wait until he's 34 or 35 before starting the BP quest.

ok honestly on my second account i have literally not even done the first task of the black pearl quest dont worry about quest rep worry about weapon rep bc every time your noto goes up u do more damage which means less rep

what is the damage bonus per level of notoriety Chris?

Also I know if you do all weapons until they are mastered, you will be notoriety 38 by the time your done. That is if you dont do any pearl quest.

Before the latest update - I would of said to do some of the quest just to raise your HP levels so as weapons came up higher and you needed the more HP to take on larger enemies it would be there...

Now - with the HP 'bump' - you can basically get away with not questing too much at all and still keep going... the only thing I would of done different is your pistol level - you'll need that Hex Shot at Level 12 for easier leveling with Voodoo Enemies to keep going with other weapons.

As for the 'dirty 30's' the Staff Levelling takes care of Levels 31-32-33, then the slow start to the Quest (plus the new side quests also giving REP - you don't have to complete them if you're worried about newer Weapons taking some of the REP away, just doing some of the side quests items gives more REP before you start into the Quest just around Level 34-35 range)

i wouldnt worry snorri your doing good, but once u start from kind of 28+ levelling up using weapons become like walking through custard without quests, you'll be glad you saved them.

I think I got that at 10? Hex eater shot? It doesn't seem to work very well though
I don't get another shot til 17 which seems tobe silver

well i might be wrong but i think the lvl cap of 40 is to low think it should be higher like 80 ish maybe never seen very many games with a level cap this low.

Hex shot using full power take aim. Usually one full power take aim and 2 more shots will make the Voodoo go away. Be sure to keep shootin until you see no more blue coming from them.

i lvl most weapon to 18 or better before i did the quest , now at lvl 37 and just now got the boss battle , i enjoy it more lvl weapon first, think ur on the the right track,
pirates forever lol

I love take aim. The more the dots on it, the higher your attacks can be. 5 dots on mine is more powerful than 1 dot on a higher lvl gun.
