Site needs a turbo boost

Guys. Do you have any plans to speed up the site?

It is taking me over a minute to load each page, and that is even when using my companies 100mb internet link.

I can get the header banner in no time, but any content is just too darn slow. It is now to the point where I only check the site once or twice a week when I have loads of time to waste. :sadmh9:

Can you give your hosting company or server a kick up the butt? :psmiley27:

I think it might be on your end. This site loads fast for me and right now I'm runnin about 36 Mbps.

This has just taken 100 seconds (give or take a second) to load from a different machine, with a different setup, different location and OS installed.

It cannot be at my end.

Plans are to move to a faster server soon :)

Will keep you posted.

Sounds good. Thanks Nick

The site has now been moved to the faster server :)

Thanks Nick - I've noticed a difference. Never had any problems till the 3.7 update, then it slowed down for me but now it seems back to normal.

:)

It seems to be the same for me, but if it helps other people it's good!

Mine has always been fast.

We're trying to locate and fix what has been causing the lag issues lately. Hang in there and we'll have it fixed ASAP.

no problem here keep up the good work

Bilgepump 05-14-2008 02:46 PM

I've never had a problem.

But I run Firefox, and have the AdBlock extension installed. You'd be amazed at how much faster sites load when you don't have to download all those graphic ads.

Although this site seems better, the only thing blocked here is the Google ads.

Same here with the Firefox. I used to be a huge IE fan, but now I wont ever go back.
