TEST Release Notes May 23, 2008
 
I didn't see this enywhere else so here they are.

Release Notes - May 23 2008
  • Fixed some misspellings in quest dialog
  • Ship panels no longer disappear when they break
  • Fixed a bug that was breaking the "track quests" button after completing the black pearl boss battle
  • Fixed a few graphics bugs with the two new islands
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing people in welcome worlds from being able to teleport back to Port Royal when in jail or inside a building
  • Added loading screens for the new islands
  • Changed the color of the feedback form button
  • Changed the behavior of the "ray of light" to help better guide you towards your quest objectives.
  • Added a notoriety reward for the "Skeleton Infestation" quest
  • If you bring up the feedback panel when in a store GUI (jewel, tattoo, etc.), the feedback form will now reposition itself so it doesn't block the store's GUI
  • Fixed an issue that was causing enemies to face backwards
  • Fixed an issue that was incorrectly giving quest credit when defeating unrelated NPCs and NPC ships
  • Updated the launcher after discovering a bug that was preventing the bug report form from being correctly displayed after a crash

awesome hopefully with all these bug fixes it will come to open servers soon

Nope. The grenade bug is still there after this latest update.
Hope they fix it soon.

With all the last bugs from the Weapons Update - I would rather see the new features stay in Test until they have everything fixed and sorted out :)

Yeah, Disney doesn't have to rush the process, it's better to perfect everything before releasing it to the open servers, to avoid an angry pirate raid in the server room LOL ;)

They get bombarded with people wanting ti hurry up for the open servers, yet they hit and people have play issues, and people complain that way. I think its nice to not put a tentative date on it and work out all the issues at once.

As has happened before, I didn't have some of these issues until after they supposedly fixed them!

I was tracking a "Kill 10 Stumps" quest from Johnny McVane and the "ray of light" illuminated practically every NPC I passed by (including dear Orinda on the Tortuga docks).

Furthermore, I then sailed to Cutthroat and discovered that anything I killed was giving me credit as a "Stump": Giant Crab = Stump, Undead Gypsy = Stump, Spanish Captaine = Stump, etc., etc. I ended up completing the quest without ever having killed a single bloody Stump!

'Twould be nice if those of us who completed the quest over a week ago got the notoriety reward, but I guess that's expecting too much.
