the past ( before the movies ) was that jack worked for beckkett sailing a ship called the wicked wench ( black pearl ) beckett ordered for africans to be sent as slaves to another country jack set them free beckett confirmed jack as a pirate and sunk the wicked wench ( Black Pearl ) jack met davy jones and made a deal that he could sail the newly renamed black pearl for 13 years and then he would spend 100 years sailing for jones jack sailed with barbossa and his crew for 2 years until they were sailing to isla de merta jack wouldnt tell them where they were going so overnight the whole crew except bootstrap declared a mutiny they morooned jack and strapped bootstrap to a cannon and fired him then bootstrap joined davy jones crew thats the past i hoped u all like it, it is 92% true

Yeah that is very true, I hear about that a lot, and it only makes perfect sense.

Another theory would be that Beckett wants to avenge himself because Jack made Beckett the laughing stock of the EITC when Jack escaped. Anyone notice how Beckett acts when he's around Jack, or talks about him? That, to me is the reason why he wants to rid the seas of pirates.

What do you think of that?

Beckett told Will that he and Jack "left their mark on each other." I know he branded Jack a pirate. What of Jack's mark on Beckett, or does he mean that figuritively?

The Wicked Wench Looks so different then The Black Pearl though it is hard to beileve they're the same ship. I looked up a picture on google and The Wicked Wench has a lot of color as to where the Black Pearl is one solid color.
