Have you tried logging in again?

Try that.
If that doesn't work, then PM me & we'll work something out, you could teleport to me or something.

You might try uninstalling/reinstalling the game. May be a corrupt file or something thats getting involved when your doing the sailing.

Zep silly question about the uninstall and reinstall thing. If you do that do you lose whatever character you have already created? I crash everytime I get out on the water. My ATI Mobility Radeon x1400 isn't one of ther drivers listed that they are having issues with and I do have the latest update for it. The game runs great from my lappy until I get in a boat. Then the ugle DC monster rears it's head and I am back filling out a report to Disney. Any help is appreciated.

Ok, first... no. Your pirates data, etc is stored by POTCO.

You login on any computer that has the game.. you have your pirates. :)

Ok, I also have a laptop with an ATI Mobility x1400 (Dell Inspiron E1705) (its what I use to play POTCO when im at the office because my workstation sucks).
If I download and install the latest released drivers for this from the Dell website (mobility drivers are only supplied by manufacturer, not ATI) I have serious problems with the game. Particularly, when sailing.

I use the prior release of drivers, and it works fine with the exception that it crashs when I exit the game. (i've learned to live with it, after all.. its when im EXITING.. and done playing.. hehe)

Zep, thanks so much for your help. I read another post about the ATI card and we also have the same Lappy. I can't sail anywhere without crashing, it makes doing the quests kind of difficult. I would love to only crash when I exit the game. LOL

I went to Dell but found the driver update from 5-27-07. I just checked my dxdiag thingy and it says my driver is from 3-14-07, version 7.14.0010.0489. Does that mean I am totally out of luck??.... LOL. Thanks again. :mickeypiratezd4:

My laptop is at the office, i'll have to check the driver versions on monday, but that 3/14 date sounded familiar (might have posted them in another thread here).

I do know that I have details turned down on medium, and run the game in lower resolutions to avoid lag. Memory setting must be on "default", and I do not have it set to render alot of the details.

I remember Dell offering downloads of prior driver releases, you may try them. Even if you reinstall the version you have. Last two times I used that 5/27 update, I had to rollback, as it froze things up and menus freaked out when I tried to sail.

I've heard of people having problems with the latest McAfee update, messing up their game.
