Game Crashing at weird times

I don't know the protocol for this so I'll do what I always do:
Computer: Dell Inspiron 1720
CPU: Intel dual core @ 2.0 GHZ
Hard Disk: 239.66GB available
RAM: total 4GB
Video: Nvidia Chipset (GeForce 8400M GS)
Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate SP1

Anyway, I could be playing or just standing there talking to a friend the my computer tells me that this program stopped working and to close it.. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall and the same thing happened.

Can anyone point to an answer here.. Don't worry about being too technical, I come from the tech world and should be able to understand you..

Thanks in advance!

Well, the game will crash I have found if it loses connection at all.
Wireless connections are often a cause for this (see people complaining on here).

The ole standard "make sure your video drivers are up to date" of course.. hmm

Have you tweaked the game_options.txt file at all? Theres a thread somewhere abouts that has a tweak that seems to help alot with some video lag issues in Vista. (A search for Pandadx10 should find it)

Heres the post for ya on that DX10 and using the game_options.txt file to hard set the options...

Thanks for your replies..

Unfortunately, after an hour of semi-stable game play I tried to enter kings head and got a few steps in before it crashed again.

This may end up being job for their tech support (I'd rather bang my head into the wall) and we'll see what happens.. I will report my findings here so it will (hopefully) help someone else..

Thanks again for your replies.
