Have you had trouble with skeleton ships?

I have noticed that some people on POTCO have trouble with any skeleton ships besides the phantoms.

Have you ever tried getting in front of it and turning to hit it then go up a bit and turn again? Doing this back and forth?
I...um...have been doing this for a while now and have been donig good.
I sunk a Black Bringander without getting any damage. I got 100 rep too. SO a lot of rep and no damage?
If you do broadsides on reverants or storm repears then you'll need to turn and I mean a sharp turn so thoughs lightning bolts wont get you.
I did this and it worked great.

Also because Black Briganders...um..use fury I never have trouble with them. I can live fighting a ship with a thunder bolt if I use this method but wy does fury not do much damage? I've...um..had it go right through my ship before and get maybe less than 5% of my ships HP form it. SO i can sink it without getting a lot of damage. Why?
So why?
Also why can't POTCO hurry up and add thoughs clothing quests and new ships in! I want to fight the new Death Omen and never got to fight the juggernut!

My method was to hit it with lightning outside my compass area, then use different cannon balls on it until it sunk. After hitting it with lightning, it will turn and come straight at you, then you can use anything you want to sink it. Usually you can sink it before it ever turns to fire the first shot.

I am using the method described by MacIronhawk now because i don't have lightning on my little pirate yet. It seems to work well.
