Elixers,tonics,potions,self-healing
 

good Morning everyone,

Well i guess its morning in the US at least..

I thought i would thorw out a little about healing yourslef since I have been asked a lot in game and in here.... so here it goes


first you need to buy some tonics or medicines or some rum.. LOL leave it up to disney to let rum heal you lol.. itf u tool around the outskirts of most of thet towns u will either see medicine men named NPC or a little shack or cart with a sign that looks like to medicine bottles on them.. I usally hit the one on the way to the goverenrs house. and then there is oneright out the town in tortuga.. currently the system lets u hold 3 of each item in your inventory to buy up..

to load the medicine in your tool bar open your inventory with the I key. sorry i cant post a pics yet but u will see the currnetly avalible 4 toolbar buttons F1,F2,F3 are toghter and F4 is by itself. that is your healing button,. all u need to do is click the empty F4 toolbar button then click on the tonic in your below list of items.. it will load all 3 into that slot... I have tested the exlier and tonic so far tonic seems to give about 150 HP heal and the elixer seems to give 250HP heal.. I am a lv 6 or 7 i think and the elxier almost completly heals me.. the only thing that really sucks right now is that with the server lag.. u haeve to time your heals perfect or the server wont get your command and awake in jail you will swabby.. LOL..

Thanks! This helps a lot. I tried buying it from Carver yesterday, but healing was grayed out and I couldn't. I'll try the places you mentioned today :D

The healing that you see on the NPC's is an option to pay them 5 gold for a complete healing...they do not sell elixir. This is great if you wander into town at low health, but to heal yourself you do need to use the elixirs. You can only get elixir from the Medicine Man(Woman).
Disneybots, where is your sense of equal rights :D ?

Carver can only heal you if you are low in health at the moment, He does not have any potion for sale that you can carry with you.

You must actually visit a Medicinal character to purchase the various potions and elixers.

The one on Port Royal is named Thomas Stareaston and he is located a little inland on the right from the Shipwright's office (the half sunken ship on the beach)

I guess I should have added that sorry everyone.. yeah walk up to them talk to them and choose store.. then shop away

Where is the medicine person on tortuga?

hmm.. I belive i found one in the little town around the blacksmith and cannonner.. and I think the voodoo chick at the wagon had something for sale too but I am not sure I have playing aroud in cuba for 2 days lol

Anything new in Cuba? i used to see Tia Dalma there, but not much else

Once you use your elixer, how do you change it to tonic? mine won't change even after I used all of my elixer

bring up the weapon page, select the F4 spot, then choose what you want to drink next!

I did that. It doesn't change it still says I used it all

I've had the same problems after using up a "stack" of potions. I've not been able to change what is there unless I relog. :(

HMM i DONT KNOW.. I know that once i use up 3 I go back in and clicck the F4 spot then click the tonic or whatever

i have this weird glitch on my computer after using the tonic. after using it in battle and defeating whoever (crab, corpse), my character starts moving all over the screen and i can't get it to stop. does this happen to anyone else and how do you glitch out of that?

Is anyone else having trouble buying healing from the NPC's? I used to do it all the time, now they just say they can't help me.
