Release 1.0.6.1

This release came out last night or this morning, and was supposed to address some of the lag problem. I don't know about you, but the lag has actually gotten far worse for me. The game is almost unplayable at 5 AM EDST with almost no one on.

May release? I think not....

Had no problem with lag. Game was much smoother for me. Just finished playing about 2 hours of POTCO. I figured it was because the servers were pretty empty why the game ran so smoothly for me. So I'll wait till during the day to test the lag improvement.

Not sure why you're experiencing worst lag. How much memory you have in your system?

I played last night and yesterday and it was really smooth. Hardly had any lag.

it has its moments.. lately I have been ablet o run aroudn and fight nice and smooth for about 2 minutes then it hangs for a sec then its smoth again,. so the servers are getting more and more better.. and everyone has to rmeber that we are testing like 3 version behind what the internal gamers are curently testing on the live servers. Companies do that beacuse the disney employees play the game to beat the quests and test the graphics then beta testers find the bug for the devs.. so each build is tested by other testers before we get a crack at it.. Beta testing is fun.. and remeber if u like testing once the gaem goes live i am sure that a Test center server will be availbe to play on since all releases ned to be tested before they are dropped live.. :-) I still think the may25th release of the game is possible

Yeah I understand you. I cannot play it on one of our computers because of lag. The other one I can.

Their system specs are:

Target System Specs
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
Pentium 3 800Mhz processor (P4 1Ghz rec.)
256 MB RAM (512 recommended)
400 MB disk space available
32MB graphics card (64 MB recommended)
DirectX 9 or better
Broadband internet connection

One computer we have is:

1 MB RAM
AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor
250 GB hard drive

The game has so much lag on this computer, it's unplayable. But, playing WoW on this computer is fine. I don't know why pirates is so different.

The other computer has:
2 MB RAM
3.2 Ghz Processor
250 GB hard drive

I have hardly any lag on this computer. Things run fairly smoothly.

You did not mention the size of your video card. that could be a factor, I just upgraded to a 512Mb card and i can now see things that were blurred out before.

Also try checking your hard drive and clean out anything that is not need and defrag.

Also, background programs can eat up resource time as well as interrupt streaming requests.
