I looked at Pirates of the burning sea and wasn't impressed. POTCO is by far the best.

davy redflint 09-05-2008 11:40 AM

since it s the only one i play potco, still havin loaded potbs

Maximvs 09-05-2008 12:33 PM

POTCO will be the game I play - its +'s are its ease of use, and the sea battles (more so in crews and boarding ships) is really top notch (of course I hope they continue to put more resources towards bugs - this is it biggest cripple at the moment - but not big enough they just got more money out of me to extend my membership... again :D )

POTBS I checked it because even though I don't play it - I do know many that do. It is set up for the older folks - economy, large sailing, many directions - and the graphics are REALLY hard to beat (then ships alone looks so real). Of course, the drawback can be its complexity (I don't have time to run an economy and play and trade and all that - I ust want to do pretty focused questing and play :) )

Wow, i chose potco, of course ;). But, like, half of the people i talk to don't know what it is, or say "you actually play that?" and laugh. Then, one of them made a charecter and then complained about the graphics and told me that Rapplez was better- and guess what? It looked the same! lol. The only difference, was you could zoom in to your charecter so close that you can have it in first person's view. :) i love that part. Lol.

I tried pirates of the burning sea for a while but it wasnt as good as this one so its potco for me

Dr. Zeppers 09-05-2008 06:04 PM

I choose POTCO for my best.
Other than POTBS none of the others come close.

POTBS as Maximvs said is a very indepth game. Beautiful, lots to do, but didnt find it nearly as fun as POTCO. It has more options than POTCO but still forces you to contend and do things you do not wish to do. 2 weeks on it, and the only person I could get to talk to me was the person that gave me the free trial, and I got tired of ads trying to get me to PAY real money to someone to level up my pirate for me (this is fun?).

CaptainGreeenee 09-05-2008 09:46 PM

i've only played Potco so thats it for me, But i got to say, Glitches are fun, they need new places and ships and such, AND I NEED FASTER WAYS FOR MONEY

Swash 09-05-2008 11:15 PM

Whoever be votin for POTBS be walkin the plank ARRR!

Jack_Jack_Sparrow 09-06-2008 02:06 AM

I watched POTBS game play footage and thought that most of the people doing ship battles needed to zoom in because from far away it doesn't look good. You can hardly see how good the graphics are far away but someone had footage that went up close and I thought, wow that's pretty good.
Although the ship battles could be better it's ok.
But it's a lot of money.

I dont really know i havent played POTBS yet and i dont plan to lol ill just put both.

I might play it when I get odler.

Pirates and POTBS are a lot alike with loading screens.

Yeah, you could zoom in and see your own NPC crew working the cannons and stuff. But you couldnt take to a cannon yourself or really 'control' the npcs. In this respect however the graphics were excellent with POTBS. Also, when you zoom in like that, its kind of hard to control/navigate your ship in battle hehe.
