Chris 09-10-2008 10:47 PM

Yes you are lucky im a lvl 40 pirate and still havent gotten anything :( not even a sleeve.

Dr. Zeppers 09-10-2008 10:50 PM

The only pirate I have that has received a clothing drop has received two. Yes.

Orange pants, and a bright red Bandana. I often get asked when playing that pirate where I got the bandana.

Chris 09-10-2008 10:54 PM

Hmm seems to me its more rare pirates get choosen then rare clothes :D

Mr.LoveLocket 09-10-2008 10:59 PM

I have gotten 1 a cyan tank

My original basic access pirate had four shirts (plus the only one he could wear - the starting item.) My level 40 pirate has just the one orange shirt; another pirate has "fancy pants" and one bowtie shirt.

Could it be, only for enemies you had to hit over a hundred times? Or enemies more than five levels higher than your notoriety? Enemies where you had to be healed more than ten times, or had to drink more than two tonics to defeat?

Wow, I have more clothing drops from all my pirates, than I have spades (cheat cards.) I want a complete deck of cheat cards. Is that really too much to ask? I have six spades: 2, 3, 6, 7, 9 and 10...out of 658 cheat cards. And where's my darn SvS hat?

In answer to that last series of questions.

Good theories.. however I dont think so.

My pirate got both items killing the level 17 vets on the field with my grenades (so I was level 20+) Definately didnt hit anything 100 times.
Almost never required any healing or a tonic standing behind the fence.

Might be something like that though. I really think its just totally random luck.

I guess you are right. I was thinking of that original basic pirate...lvl 12 going after those brigands all the time. But we won't know what the actual trigger is, unless they tell us. Be nice is the level 45+ ships dropped really rare stuff, like clothing or spades.

Edward

I don't think there is a specific action that causes a clothing drop. They are completely random. My first pirate (while she was quite wee, under level 13) got a drop of a striped cloth belt while battling undead in Tortuga graveyard or Wildwoods.
