more guild options

Co-GM privellages for guilds, just like a GM, except you cant eject the GM, lol. Only the GM can make an officer a co-Gm. A Co-GM can demote officers, and eject them too. Officers and Gms (Co-GMs if they do this) should be able to view the levels of other officers and members.

Any other new guild options that should be added?

in game character rep for each member of the guild kinda like individual ranking inside of a guild, ex: captains, lieutenants, corporals, etc... Rather than just have officers be officers

I like the Co-GM idea. If we had that our original guild wouldn't have had to be changed when our GM quit playing. If not Co-GMs then they at least need to add a way to transfer guild ownership.

I've also always thought we need a better system other just Officer and Member. Don't know how well it would work but it would be nice to be able to reward members of a guild with something other then just a 1 rank promotion.

In game guild mail would be something I'd like to see. Not every member is on POF or the guild's website. Some members don't like signing up on sites and some of the younger players have parental restrictions on the type of sites they can visit so a way to leave messages in game would be great. With all the various time zones involved it would be a perfect way to keep members up to date on whats going on in the guild.

Not knocking the idea, but with the way security measures are addressed with Disney, this is highly unlikely. Chat is already very restrictive, imagine the complication of adding private messaging.

I agree that a full fledged mail/message system would be an issue, my fault for not elaborating. Was thinking more along the lines of a pre-set group of announcements/statements customizable with dates, times, etc. like they already have on the DXD pirates page. Just need some way to let everyone in the guild know what events/meetings are coming up.

interesting thought before you sounded like you meant mailboxes

I think grizz means like a PM system in game where i can send a message to Grizz even when he is not on and when he does get on he can read it. I dont see a security issue with this seeing as VMK had it and it was a G rated game.

As for more guild options i would like to see that i also want to see maybe more piraty guild names.

Like:
Captain
First-Mate
Swabby
Deckhand
ect.

Guilf Hide Outs, A Guild schedule, Be Able to Rename yer Guild, Guild Announcement Posting, Co-Gms or Head Officers, Guild Wars, and Be able to be Crwative with ye guild Like flags, Colored Guild names, etc., and

Great ideas i really wish they would have put more effort and time into the guild system honestly i think they should have put the time they spent in PvP and even SvS into making better guild options but thats me.

well, think, theres whispering which is just like private messaging, only restrictive

Stormhawk 09-29-2008 09:09 PM

I wish there were more ranks in guild as well. Just three ranks is not enough. Co-gm sounds like a good idea.

Not exactly, just some kind of notification system to update members that aren't members here or on our site of upcoming events. Something they would see when they logged on and opened their friends list. That way everyone in the guild would know about it. With private messages you would still be hit and miss with the way people come and go in the game.

Mr.LoveLocket 09-29-2008 09:40 PM

I wouldn't like it because its not fair for officers. Then there is no point in being an officer because you can't even eject.

League 09-29-2008 10:17 PM

I made a thread of stuff like this. There was a lock option, where a member couldn't be ejected, promoted, demoted, et cetera, no matter who tried, and a recruiter option, a stub up from a member who could recruit people as the name implies.

AdmiralSavvy 09-29-2008 10:18 PM

I like the idea of new guild ranks because I've known Officers a long time ago who just went off the handle thinking that they can eject whoever they want even though I forbid Officers ejecting in PIC. With a Co Guildmaster rank, that would separate powers within a guild and also clarify the limits of one's power for the better instead of more less "make believe" guild positions in which people (not anyone in PIC) would take advantage of for not being an offical POTCO guild position.
Plus, I have some people in PIC who deserve more than just an Officer rank. Guildmasters being able to promote above the Officer position would be more than awesome for me. :)
