My Greatest Challenge Yet

I have just got a quest I hoped to never do again in my life. I finished it once but now I must do it again. I must... get grenades... again. The first time I did it I was on the quest for about a month. I just don't like it. Everytime I go near a crate or barrel at Kingshead every navy soldier just jumps on me. I know they hate pirates but give me a break. I will keep you updated on this hostile situation.

That one was easy with me. Well I had a crew... Just find a crew they'll help ya.

Ya you need a crew. It is possible though to do it by yourself. I did it three times by myself. If soldiers attune to you just run, they will disengage pretty fast. Kill the soldiers you saw attune to you one at a time, then quickly search the barrel. Then you will know not to search that barrel. NEVER EVER search the barrel by the building in the middle of the Kingshead town. If you do, almost every soldier in the field will attune to you. If you can't do it alone then just do what Kirandwilfort said-find a crew.:)

With my first pirate I did it myself and it was a major pain, but with my other pirates, I had help, and it was ridulously easy. If you need crew, let me know

Well I guess I did need a crew lol. All I did was go to abassa server turn on crew matching and there was already a crew in Kingshead. They were happy to help.

It's possible to do alone, my first pirate, I did it alone... every barrel & crate, I just tried as close as possible I could get between the wall & the barrel/crate & made sure NO navy or eitc dudes were looking in my direction & hit shift. It was painfully long to wait until everyone was not looking in my direction, but hey it worked. Can't remember how I did it the 2nd time. 3rd time, I had a friend be my bodyguard & hitted everyone with flamming skull pretty much LOL.

The grenades quest is harder (by far) than the Black Pearl boss battle. I always help level 20s I see struggling there, even if I have the field to myself.

Finally the crisis is over. I had more help today. At first I had a crew of high lv unlimiteds but they never helped. So I had a crew of low lv basics help me. They mostly died but they did distract the navy guys in Kingshead and heal me if I got hit. My health never went yellow lol. The other guys just fought over the mob. After I got grenades I helped them with a few quests. It just goes to show you: "With Great Power There Must Also Come Great Responsibility". lol

I did it all by my lonesome...What I did was go to an ideal server, then go to Kingshead. When I am doing stuff like that I find it best to have a lot of other players around me. That gives the baddies other pirates to concentrate on instead of me. Works for me.

You don't NEED a CREW just a friend he/she will hold off the Navy (Right behind your back) for you. My lvl 29 Dad helped my Level 21 Bro do it.

I have done this quest with 5 different characters. 3 times, i have done it solo, 2 times without dying a single time.

Here's what I did:
  1. Stock up on tonic (just in case you need it)
  2. Remember to get the crate outside the fort
  3. Get the crate just inside the door
  4. Skip the barrel next to it
  5. Head up towards the first fort level
  6. Get the barrels and crates near that archway
  7. Skip the barrel at the end of the ramp going into the first fort
  8. Get the rest up in the first fort and on top the walls
  9. Take your time and pick your battles wisely
  10. Leave yourself time for your health to restore before jumping into the next battle

Of course, if you want to do it the fast way, recruit some of your high level guildies, with staffs, and let them pick the fights ahead of you. The downside to that...you don't gain the rep from doing all the work yourself.
