Training Grenades (help)

Im having a real hard time lvlin up my grenades. And i looked all over this site for a guide. And i would also like to know WHERE the best place to train them is... I am currently a lvl 3 grenader, and have explosive and stink bomb.

EDIT: Today im a lvl 4 grenader with long volly, explosive, and stink bomb

I think that is up in the air with all the new changes this week. I was just in kingshead and noticed that no one was behind the fence in the parade grounds - so I took a shot at the soldiers and they came right thru the fence and attacked me. Happened both times I tried so I guess that option is out. I have no idea how people will lvl granades now at least not efficiently.

Anyone else notice the soldiers coming thru the fence now?

I have noticeed. They also like fall down from the sky... and they dissapear, so you cant attac them, then they will kill you :( this thread is getting a little off subject ;)

Blade - had you asked this question last week, I would of pointed you to several threads about using Kingshead, Tormenta and Padres to accomplish the task...

As it is - with the new updates and the loss of several features which to use for levelling Gernades... the question I don't believe can be answered just yet :(

Players are going to need a few days to figure out taticts and areas which levelling may be possible.

But i dont get it... it still doesnt change how i train i dont think... or where i train. im only a lvl 4 grenader

It does change how you train the grenades because the first and best advice people would have given you is go to Kingshead parade grounds get behind the fence and use the soldiers to train. This worked because the soldiers (with the rare exception) would stop at the fence unable to attack yousee the sticky at the top of the weapons forum). Now with that gone, no one has come up with a good substitute. Also with all the changes nobody is sure what to suggest because they can't be sure what still works

if u want siege charge so badly... u need your grenades lvl 17 till the veterans are green of the group. when the veterans are green go to padres, then go to lava gorge, then to catacombs. then when u go to catacombs there is a area that has lava in it. which is in your right side of the entrance when u enter catacombs. thats where i trained my grenades to get siege charge

This doesnt work anymore if its what I think your talking about. The raiders/officers/mercs run right through the rock wall and kill ya standing there on the lava bed (where we used to be safe).

Basically it seems to me, they made it so fences, rocks, and walls, no longer stop a mob, they have a "Green light" no matter what and run right through.

Since Hex no longer works as it used to, De-hexing voodoo mobs and pounding them with grenades is out as well.

Grenades is going to be way tough now.

I'll tell you one i use usually to get started before I go to KH. Should work, it relied on no glitchs.
I go to Driftwood, one end of the island has 3 Giant crabs fairly close, I hit them with stinkpot, get them all chasing me, and bombard them as I walk backwards. Be sure to turn around on occasion if you wander to far from thier original spot, they will disengage.

For now, this seems the best option, however, they don't disengage anymore, at least not when I tried. Only problem is tagging several other critters as you're backing up tossing rocks. You're going to need a healer, for this one, too. Used to be so easy to solo...

Don't most people doing grenades or at least did at kingshead do it with someone else so they could tp back to reload ammo? I'm doing that right now and having the second person heal while standing in the middle of the six pack. I was always better at dropping them at my feet.

This does support the idea of team work and team play.

But you get so little rep when doing that.

You know, Volley can be blocked: if an enemy is close by, you can hit them with Volley by just applying it minimally.

Stormhawk 10-21-2008 11:29 PM

Now that the Kingshead fence no longer works, it is pretty hard to level grenades. I would say you could attack the soldiers on Kingshead while backing up but there is another glitch with this update that prohibits this, the soldiers can attack you from far away. I am not sure anymore.:)

Aaron McEagle 10-21-2008 11:40 PM

If that catacomes glitch still works you can use that.
