Fortune vs Fame Quests
 

OK...I have a pirate that has just achieved Notoriety Level 8, so she was sent to Elizabeth to get the quest for a new weapon, ie the dagger. Elizabeth sends her to Will and when she gets there although he says hello and that he will be happy to make the daggers before he gives me the chance to choose the materials quests needed for the dagger I get a popup box that says that I have to complete one of my fortune tasks before I can accept another task.
PROBLEM... I have NO fortune quests pending. Have completed all of the initial steps for Rogues, Rudyard and even Navy Medals. Now I have not acquired any of the paintings or teeth as yet except for the first tooth that Jack keeps.
Anyone else run into this problem??

Sounds like a bug to me, for the time being report it. Right now I am stuck further on in the quest and not sure if it can be completed at the moment. I didnt have this issue but I got past that point well before the last patch.

I had this issue a while back. I had this Quest and the Black Pearl Crew / Doc Grog Quest so my task list was fairly long.

So I dropped some Doc Grog tasks to make room for the Will Turner tasks. That seemed to work. Then when I went back to Doc Grog, I was able to add them all back in.

BUT...now I'm stuck on both Quests. While the Doc Grog one is finished and he accepts it as Completed, it's still there on my Quest list. For Will Turner, I'm stuck on the "Big Navy Ship" task.

Exactly my situation. I figure the "powerful ship" is just like the "First Mate"; non-existant.

Well I cleared this problem up by dropping one part of the Doc Grog quest that had been completed and completing the others so Doc gave me the last (I hope) item to get for his sick patient. :)
On a sad note the latest release has wiped out the crew quest I had already completed for Pidgley :( I can't wait to find all those items again. Hope they will be able to reinstate that for me.
Now Will is willing to talk to me about dagger training.
It appears you can only carry a limited number of active quests at any one time. I am thinking it has to be around 15 as that is what i had on the books when the issue of not being able to take another arose.

I'm not certain, but I think the latest release displays all the quest together, and has done away with the fame/fortune quests.

Did anyone else do both quests for the honey? I did. I went to June and she gave me the dress quests. However, it did not appear in my journal. I tried dropping the second honey quest, but it keeps saying I have to go back to Tomas. I do, and he says thanks for returning the parrot. And, it still says go back to him. It also says that the parrot is 100% complete. So, looks like we will have to return the parrot at some point. Meantime, I can not advance.:confused:

I tried Greer/June on another character (not the one with the problem in the OP) and that quest was sooooo bugged I ended up having to do everything at least twice and then when I thought I had it all done I went to June and she said "Let's start again" and I said "No Thank You" !!!
