Halloween themed music

:pumpkinani:Happy Halloween!:pumpkinani:

On the way to work this morning I heard Monster Mash on the radio. I started thinking that I could reasonably expect to hear Werewolves of London and Thriller also today. A little later I heard Highway to He!!, which although a stretch, is still somewhat in that theme.

What other "Halloween" type songs can you think of?

I was gonna say Duran Duran's Hungry Like The Wolf, but I guess it's not really Halloween theme. *puts on dunce hat and goes sit in the corner*
Happy Halloween Everyone!!!:pumpkinani:

Oh! I forgot Godzilla!

"Oh, no,
they say he's got to go
oh no Godzilla.

Oh, no,
there goes Tokyo
oh no Godzilla."

Serious guys? Those are lame Halloween songs....here's the best:
ALL HALLOW'S EVE by Type-O Negative
---video linked below---

Fall fires burning neath black twisted boughs
Sacrifice - to above
Smoke swirling quickly towards misting clouds
Offering - of this blood
Into the flames and without shame - consumed with howls and screams
Pumpkins grin - in their despair - on all - hallows eve

Cruel be the wind as it quells my words
I shout out - to the rain
Incantations Ive so hope youve heard - that you - live again
From deep earth brings forth rebirth witness but I shant believe
From below a chilling glow - on all - hallows eve

Be spiderwebbed and glazed in frost
She wears death - beautifully
More stunning now - than in her life - on a bed - of autumn leaves
Into her eyes and quite surprised I whispered dont you leave
Sing macabre songs and well dance til dawn - on all hallows eve
Hallows eve

Saint lucifer hear me praying to thee - on this eve - of all saints
High be the price but then nothing is free - my soul Ill - gladly trade

Ahhh - hallows eve - ahhh - hallows eve

Cold is the night in so many ways
Luna round - full and bright
Deep be the mud on the fresh dug graves
On yours - I recite - an ancient spell I know so well success is guaranteed
Ill bring you back from where youve gone
On all - hallows eve - hallows eve

Saint lucifer hear me praying to thee - on this eve - of all saints
High be the price but then nothing is free - my soul Ill - gladly trade

Ahhh - hallows eve - ahhh - hallows eve
Ahhh - hallows eve - ahhh - hallows eve

Whatever, the best Halloween song is Halloween by the Misfits followed by Halloween II also by the Misfits, I think Glen Danzig (lead singer of the misfits the time the song was writtin) knows how to write some good Halloween music especialy when he was in the band Samhain, but here is the lyrics for the song Halloween,

Bonfires burning bright
Pumpkin faces in the night
I remember halloween

Dead cats hanging from poles
Little dead are out in droves
I remember halloween

Brown leafed vertigo
Where skeletal life is known
I remember halloween

This day anything goes
Burning bodies hanging from poles
I remember halloween

Halloween, halloween, halloween, halloween

Candy apples and razor blades
Little dead are soon in graves
I remember halloween

This day anything goes
Burning bodies hanging from poles
I remember

Halloween, halloween, halloween, halloween
Halloween, halloween, halloween, halloween

p.s the monster mash is awesome also my band covers it

Wow. Okay...I was thinking of easily-recognisable pop-type Halloween songs, but you guys have a much deeper knowledge of music than me. Definitely both of those songs qualify as bona-fide Halloween songs.

And here I offer up the Addams Family Theme as covered by M.C. Hammer.

I'm more of the cotton candy type, I guess.

But...rock on!
