Used of plus (+) chat option Gone!
 

Well, before Saturday, I used to have the little chat switch (+) window next to the skull. Now all of a sudden it's gone. I cant switch the plus (+) chat anymore. It seems it was gone after Disney decided to take away the /zombie and the curse. I feel bad for some friends who can only read my messages via (+) and now they tp to me and all I can do is /wave and /smile...lol. Has anyone have this issue?

Three possible explanations:

#1) You logged into the wrong linked account
#2) Your parents turned it off
#3) You got suspended (check your e-mail) for foul language

I hope for your sake, it was just #1.

I get anoyed having to click on the box to go into plus chat so those who are plus chatters can read my messages. But that I can deal with and live with it.

What I have a hard time with is remembering who is a plus chatter. I't be nice to see a plus icon next to their names in the friends list and next to their name above their head.

I feel ya wmah, thats something someone needs to talk to disney about. I understand how parents are about what some people can say, but that should make it hard on the ones that HAVE the right to talk.

Well, another reason that could have happened is if you (or your parents) changed your chat options to open chat. I have open chat and don't have the (+) next to the skull. Here is the thread that shows how to change your chat options. (2 ways) http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...ead.php?t=9001

I can understand the plus chatter for the young ones, but arrr, it certainly is a pain when you have to use it to whisper to a DX friend arrr. Makes me dizzier when arrr I can't get across me point arrr even when I try 2 or 3 times arrrr. I know this can be avoided by friending peeps...but there is only so much room on a pirates friends list.
Forgot to say it does help with me typonitis condition, though....hehehe

Aye, I cant chat with Dxd friends unless i tp to them. I signed up for Open Chat with all Members, i guess it includes Dxd friends but it says coming soon so I can't talk with them yet.

still hav it ....but never use it much anyway probally why some people dont answer when i speak back to them....lol

If the plus was taken away that stinks.
The plus is for speedchat plus and you can change that to open chat which offers even more freedom than speedchat plus.

You can enable open chat by going here.
Make sure that speedchat plus is checked AND >with any Disney member.
You'll probably need the parent password so ask your parents.

Well I am the sole owner of my POTCO account where no need for paretal control usage. I think what really happened was that at first when I set up the account, I had the open chat enabled...if you go to the setting at the official disney site and touch those settings even if you put them the way it was at first, the little square next to the skull in the game chat-window will disappear and there is no way to put it back.

Although, in those settings, there is a message saying that the "Open Chat" thing is for future usage and still under development.

Recently I had to whisper with Plus Chat on again...so I went to the Friends box on DxD to generate another TrueFriend Code to exchange & it asked me to verify my email address again (!!!!) as if I had never verified it before... I had it verified monthsss ago. Only afterward would it let me generate a TrueFriend Code and after exchanging it, my OpenChat worked again with that certain friend. You have to exchange TrueFriend Code with each friend individually.

you should call the customer service number and let them know about this so they can fix it up

Thanks dbx for that input. I will talk to CS, but to create a new account and transfer my pirates there just to fix this issue, it is something that I would consider not happening. I'll see if CS fix this without me going thru that hasle :).
