i think ive dug each dig spot 3 times. does anyone remember which spot has the chest required?

If you hear the "cha-ching" sound of gold when you hit a dig spot, it will eventually give up the goods. Sometimes you just have to wait for it to re-set and dig again...and again...and then again. As the quests get more involved, they don't hand out the rewards on the first (or second, or third...) try.

When you need to do a quest which involves digging up a chest, it is usually a random chest, unless the quest gives you specific directions. And usually if there aren't specific directions, you'll most likely find yourself going through the same chest over, and over, and over again, so don't worry, just be patient ;)
