Hey, I could have fun with this idea. With that being said and Piccolo Mondo not here, anyone want to get this underway? The sports, interview and comic sections would make for a doozy; the articles, advertisements, and everthing else could be quite useful. Granted, some of the stuff in the above post already has a proper section in the forums, so that could be excluded.

Anywhoo, anyhey: anyone?

This looks like fun! I would offer up my (mediocre) Artistic skills for the comic section.. but sadly I have limited photo space which would make for an issue. But either way I'm interested... :D

I'm thinking Sven N for the comics. His penguins would make a great regular additions, be they doodles or not. I have a hilarious idea for the interviews, in the realm of wack. The articles could be freelance, with many people contributing those--though they aren't to be related to the game as a whole, or else they belong somewhere else on the forums. The advertisements could just be "ads" for things on the forum like guilds or what not.

The sports could be for stuff of the sort of the captured the flag/races or such, or of the level up ideas like Piccolo had. Ask Grandma Edgemenace would be a cool thing too.

I'll off up my services fro ask Ye Old Commodore.

With 5 people showing interest, I think this could work. I'm thinking that we could post these weekly editions here in this section of the forum (each editon being a thread), each with an "archive" at the top, basicly a link to every other edition.

ARCHIVE format:
1: May 1-7 (with link)
2: May 8-14 (with link)
And so on and so on...

Under the archive section is the headline, a main article, and all that entails. Articles will all follow under that.

Then, there could be a sports section with whatever news, like famous PvPers or SvSers creating or joining new guilds, or gaining new weapons, building new pirates, etc.

Various advertisements will go after that, propping up guilds, tournaments, whatever.

Lastly, a comics and interview section will be found, though some interviews with important people will be gauged in the proper sections.

Articles can be freelanced, though they should be pm'ed to whoever--I assume I'll be that person. A few sportswriters should be chosen though, as that just makes for fan favorites and all. These people can be pm'ed tips by scouts and insiders. Advertisements can just be pmed to whoever is in charge. Comics, as they might be rare, may be limited to screenshots submitted unless various people post comics. The interviews can be done by anyone on staff, though the first one with a good idea who goes through will probably get it.

I would be willing to be a reporter and write articles if you need me.

I'm usually bored in my spare time, so this could be really fun.
