I agree with the points, and respect by others, but it will remain a fact that some players are not that way.

On the most part over all, I would say most behave what I would consider appropriate.

Being from many different games and play styles, there is little I see new in peoples behaviors. Many times why I get laughing so hard I can't even respond back to cases like this.

This here is a ancient pk, pvp type tactic.

This person was not looking to be friends, or join the guild. So what was it he was looking for? A reaction, argument, make you mad, get under your skin, a fight.

Was he successful?

I would say yes he was, even if it wasn't with a immediate response.

I would think this is nothing new, its where one individual draws the line versus another.

A example of this is something like Darkhart, fighting him getting 500 rep. Another player jumps in fighting it you get 70 rep.
Its OK if he doesn't say anything?
Not OK when he says, haha I just lost you 100's of rep?
This is likely a every day occurrence to most pirates, but not getting it rubbed in. This being a hot topic in the past has had many different arguments.

If we were to see some pvp servers or something, I would think we would see this behavior common place. Why would it be any different then most other games?

So I stick with the same answer, you can perhaps expect good behavior by most, but definitely not all you run across. The level, officer, Gm, etc. will be no better one way or other for some of these people. When it comes to pk, pvp, svs, type game playing this behavior is likely to be seen, right or wrong. So I would expect this to come along from time to time in one form or other, whatever degree you wish to rate it at.

That doesn't mean I think its a good thing.
