I hear u Zep, bear in mind though, that I am UK, here the bigger outlets for comps had about a 6 month window where u could easily get the comp u want with either , after that u have to customize yer order to get xp, but software is the thing for me, some of my newer hardware is comin in with vista compatability and in that sense I cant fault it yet.
As for pirates I dont think its vista that is makin my sailin slower than it once was, I know its not my graphics cards but I am missing my swoosh as I step on the pirate gas, thats my only issue with technical stuff, otherwise I just like to log in n play non of that computer faffing when I am a pirate.
